CRO

Control Room Operator Emergency Response Assessment
Scope
This program covers the reactions that are required to be undertaken by the Control Room Operator (CRO) to either prevent or minimize the effect of an incident. This training is only a part of the broader training program however it affords all candidates the opportunity to be trained to a common industry accepted standard.

General Course Objectives:
The aim and objective of the CRO Emergency Response Competence Assessment are to formally assess the candidate in the role of the CRO during an emergency situation in a simulated environment.

The Course Format:
After a short interactive theory session, the delegate will be required to practically demonstrate their responses to realistic control room situations. Delegates will be placed in an environment similar to that which they work in. A computer based simulator, with basic process logic and flow will be used to support the expected responses to be made in the position of the Control Room Operator during emergency situations. Each session will be followed by a one-on-one debrief, highlighting strengths & weakness levels as observed.
