Overview

Pengawas Scaffolding – Competency Assessment is a BNSP competency assessment programme conducted through PT Samson Tiara’s TUK LSP Migas for personnel responsible for supervising, inspecting, and approving scaffolding work.

The programme is suitable for candidates from industrial, operational, onshore, offshore, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, and other high-risk work environments, provided they meet the applicable Pengawas Scaffolding certification scheme requirements.

The assessment is based on the Pengawas Scaffolding competency scheme. It is designed to assess whether candidates meet the required competency standards to perform the role of Pengawas Scaffolding, also commonly referred to operationally as Scaffolding Inspector or Scaffolding Supervisor.

This is an assessment-only programme. It is intended for candidates who already have the required knowledge, skills, and workplace experience related to scaffolding supervision. It is not a full scaffolding training programme.

Who is it For?

This assessment is suitable for personnel who are responsible for, or being prepared for, supervising, inspecting, and approving scaffolding work in industrial, operational, onshore, or offshore work environments, including:

  • Scaffolding supervisors
  • Scaffolding inspectors
  • Scaffolding foremen or lead hands
  • Teknisi K3 Perancah
  • HSE personnel involved in scaffolding inspection or worksite control
  • Maintenance or operations supervisors responsible for scaffolding work
  • Personnel responsible for inspecting and approving scaffolding work
  • Personnel from oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, industrial, offshore, onshore, or other high-risk work environments who require BNSP competency certification as Pengawas Scaffolding

Participants must meet the applicable Pengawas Scaffolding certification scheme requirements.

Certification Basis

This programme is conducted as a BNSP competency assessment through PT Samson Tiara’s TUK LSP Migas. The assessment refers to the Pengawas Scaffolding competency scheme used within the LSP Migas certification process.

Candidates who meet the required competency standards will be declared competent and will receive the applicable BNSP competency certificate through the LSP Migas certification process.

Assessment Delivery

The assessment-only programme is delivered over 2 days*.

Activities may include assessment briefing, document verification, review of competency requirements, pre-assessment, and competency assessment in accordance with the Pengawas Scaffolding scheme and assessor instructions.

Important: This programme does not include full scaffolding training. Candidates are expected to have relevant scaffolding supervision knowledge, skills, and work experience before attending the assessment.

Assessment Objectives

The assessment is designed to evaluate candidate competency in carrying out the role of Pengawas Scaffolding.

Candidates may be assessed on their ability to:

  • Apply and manage K3 requirements related to scaffolding work.
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace.
  • Manage workplace communication related to scaffolding activities.
  • Contribute to the quality of work results.
  • Inspect scaffolding work drawings.
  • Identify scaffolding designs.
  • Identify scaffolding work implementation schedules.
  • Inspect scaffolding erection sequences.
  • Verify the correctness of scaffolding installation work.
  • Approve scaffolding installation work within the scope of the Pengawas Scaffolding role.
Competency Units

The Pengawas Scaffolding scheme covers the following competency units:

  • IMG.SC01.001.01 – Melaksanakan K3 di tempat kerja
  • IMG.SC01.002.01 – Melaksanakan komunikasi di tempat kerja
  • IMG.SC01.005.01 – Mengatur pelaksanaan K3 di tempat kerja
  • IMG.SC01.006.01 – Mengatur komunikasi di tempat kerja
  • IMG.SC01.007.01 – Memberikan kontribusi kualitas hasil kerja
  • IMG.SC02.014.01 – Memeriksa gambar kerja scaffolding
  • IMG.SC02.015.01 – Mengidentifikasi desain scaffolding
  • IMG.SC02.016.01 – Mengidentifikasi jadwal pelaksanaan scaffolding
  • IMG.SC02.017.01 – Memeriksa rangkaian pemasangan scaffolding
  • IMG.SC03.004.01 – Memeriksa kebenaran dan menyetujui pekerjaan pemasangan scaffolding
Participant Requirements

Candidates are required to prepare the following documents for registration and assessment:

  • Copy of KTP or passport
  • 4x6 photograph
  • Copy of latest education certificate or diploma
  • Curriculum Vitae or evidence of work experience meeting the basic competency requirements
  • Copy of relevant training certificates meeting the basic competency requirements
  • Employment statement from the current employer
  • Pakta Integritas / SKKD using the provided format, completed on company letterhead
  • Supporting competency documents, such as Permit to Work or equivalent documents, JSA or equivalent documents, Toolbox Meeting records, and activity report documents relevant to the certification field or work role
Assessment and Certification

Candidates will undergo competency assessment in accordance with the applicable LSP Migas / BNSP certification process. Candidates who meet the required competency standards will be declared competent.

The assessment may include document verification, self-assessment, review of supporting evidence, questioning, observation, demonstration, or other assessment methods in accordance with the scheme requirements and assessor instructions.

Certificate

Candidates who are declared competent will receive a BNSP competency certificate for the Pengawas Scaffolding scheme issued through the LSP Migas certification process.

Certificate Validity

The competency certificate is valid for 3 years, in accordance with the applicable LSP Migas / BNSP certification scheme requirements.
